JC is entering his 6th as the head coach for the Thunder Boys Basketball program. JC is an alumnus of Mountain View, as well as played for Coach Cranston for 1 season (2003-2004) after transferring from Franklin HS in Portland.
Coach JC is excited to be the head coach, in the first 5 years, leading Mountain View to postseason 2 times and both times 1 game away from the state tournament.
JC came to the sideline at Mountain after 3 seasons at Parkrose High School in Portland. During his 3 years at Parkrose, he led the Broncos to 3 state tournament appearances, finishing 16, 7 and 3rd respectively in his time. Also sending multiple kids off to college basketball, including 3 to the division 1 ranks.
Coach JC is the father of an energetic young boy who is 7 years old and in the 2nd grade. When JC is not in the gym with the Thunder, he is typically spending time with his son, somewhere outside or coaching him in the numerous sports he participates in year round.
